Fees and Insurance Coverage
- Do you take my insurance?
We take all types of insurance, however, your benefits for chiropractic care will depend on your contract with your insurance company. Please be aware that some plans require that you receive authorization from your Primary Care Physician before the insurance company will pay for chiropractic care. Please contact our office to schedule an appointment and we will be glad to answer any insurance questions you might have.
- Does my insurance cover chiropractic care?
The best way to find out what your plan will cover, is to call the customer services department of your insurance company. Our staff will gladly explain some of the insurance terminology if you are uncertain about your coverage.
- Does my insurance cover massage therapy?
Many insurance plans will cover a portion of the massage therapy done in our office. If you are uncertain, please contact our office and we will be glad to help you find out what your coverage is.
- Will you bill my insurance company?
Yes, we would normally bill your insurance company on your behalf. Your insurance company will then send you an explanation of benefits in the mail once they have made payment to our office. If you prefer to bill your insurance company yourself, please request this on your visit.
- I do not have insurance, how will you bill me?
If you do not have insurance, or if you have a deductible or co-pay to meet, we expect payment on the day of service. Please make sure you bring some form of payment with you on your visit to our office.
- How much do you charge per visit?
We do not have a set fee per visit. For your initial visit, your charges will depend on how much time the doctor spends with you and whether or not he needs to take x-rays. On subsequent visits, charges will depend on the regions that the doctor adjusts as well as how many modalities you have during the visit. For information on pricing, please refer to our fee schedule
- Are you able to take credit card payments?
We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit cards.
Your First Visit
- I have had previous chiropractic care, may I just come in for an adjustment?
Our doctors would still like to do a brief evaluation on you before starting treatment, however, past x-rays and medical records will help them and will enable you to get adjusted as soon as possible.
- I have never seen a chiropractor before, what should I expect on my initial visit?
On your first visit, the doctor will perform a thorough evaluation, including x-rays of your spine, in order to discover the causes of your condition. You will then be asked back for a report of the doctor's findings at which you view your x-rays and receive treatment recommendations. If the doctor should find that you have subluxation, he or she will want to begin care immediately.
- How long does the first visit take?
This is different for each person, however, new patient evaluations are roughly between 45 minutes to an hour long.
- How much does the first visit cost?
The cost of your first visit depends on how long the doctor spends with you and whether or not they take x-rays. New patient evaluations typically run between $40 and $140 and most x-rays are $90 per region of the spine.
- What do I need to bring with me on my first visit?
You will need to bring the completed forms that can be downloaded from this website as well as your insurance information and a photo ID (drivers licence).
- Will I need to have X-Rays taken?
That is between you and the doctor to determine. Most new patients require x-rays to be taken.
- Will I be adjusted or see the massage therapist on my first visit?
Typically new patients will not be adjusted on their first visit as the doctor needs to evaluate all their examination findings before they are able to diagnose and begin treatment.
